Community Area Watch Program

Part of the City of Rosemead's 2018-2019 Strategic Plan is to "continue to make Rosemead a safer and more secure community by combating crime and preparing for emergencies." The "Community Area Watch" meetings are one opportunity to do both. To best serve Rosemead residents, the city has been divided into nine (9) community areas. A meeting will be hosted in each area once during the 2019 calendar year.

The purpose of the Community Area Watch meeting is to:

  1. Educate the community on Public Safety matters;
  2. Crime prevention through public outreach;
  3. Provide crime statistics and crime trends in the community;
  4. Share information on personal safety, securing property, and preventing crimes;
  5. Community Beautification while improving the quality of life; and
  6. Discuss the importance of Emergency Preparedness, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), and much more.

The Community Area Watch meetings are held the third Thursday of every month from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. If you have further questions, please contact Mandy Wong, Public Safety Supervisor at (626) 569-2168 or mwong@cityofrosemead.org.

The City’s regularly scheduled Community Area Watch Meetings at the various locations will be on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To adhere to the current health guidelines from the Los Angeles County Health Officer Order, the Community Area Watch Meetings will be virtual.
