Boards, Commissions and Committees

The City of Rosemead is accepting City Commission applications to serve on the Commission vacancies listed below. After reviewing applications, the City Council will appoint members of the community to fill these positions. 

Apply to Serve as a Commissioner by June 16th Applicants selected will serve a two-year term beginning July 1, 2022, ending June 30, 2024.

  There is currently an unscheduled vacancy expiring June 30, 2023; the applicant selected will serve the remainder of that term. 

Parks Commission         One Position

Applicants must be over the age of 18 to apply and reside in the City of Rosemead, unless indicated otherwise. Interested applicants should complete and submit a Commissioner Applicationno later than Thursday, June 16, 2022HOW TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION:  1) Submitting to the City Clerk's Office at City Hall during regular business hours Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.; 2) Sending via e-mail to [email protected]; or 3) Mailing to the City Clerk's Office, 8838 E. Valley Blvd., Rosemead, CA 91770.

In compliance with the requirements of the Maddy Act, Government Code Section 54970, the following appointment list is posted on an annual basis, Maddy Act Notice.

Beautification Commission 
(Meet on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.)

Parks Commission 
(Meet on the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m.)

Planning Commission 
(Meet on the first and third Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m.)

Public Safety Commission (Meet on the fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m.)

Traffic Commission 
(Meet on the first Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m.)

: Commissioners receive a stipend in the amount of $100 for each regularly scheduled meeting held and attended.

Committees and Board of Directors for Regional and State Organizations

The City Council represents Rosemead at various regional and State organizations such as California Contract Cities Association, League of California Cities, and other groups by serving on their committee or board of directors. Click here to view the 2021-2022 Mayor's Appointments and see which Council Member has been appointed to represent our community on a regional and State level.
