NOTICE OF DESIGNATION OF TALLY CENTER LOCATION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk's office located at the Downey Tally Center, 9150 Imperial Highway, Downey, California 90242, will be the central tally location for the STATEWIDE DIRECT PRIMARY ELECTION scheduled to be held on TUESDAY, JUNE 7, 2022.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following persons have been nominated for the offices designated to be filled at the General Municipal Election to be held in the City of Rosemead on Tuesday, June 7,2022.

General Municipal Election

The City’s next General Municipal Election is on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 for the following Offices:

• For three (3) Members of the City Council (Full term of four years)

The nomination period for these offices begins on Monday, February 14, 2022 and closes on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.
If no one or only one person is nominated for an elective office, appointment to the elective office may be made as prescribed by § 10229, Elections Code of the State of California.

Running for Council
To run for City Council, one must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be a citizen of the United States and a resident of the State of California
• Be a registered voter and a resident within the City of Rosemead

Prospective Candidates
The first and last day for prospective candidates to file nomination papers and candidate statements is February 14, 2022, to March 11, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. For more information about how to run for public office, contact the Clerk’s Office by calling (626) 569-2100 to via email [email protected]

Your health and safety is our priority. Vote Centers will follow public health and safety guidelines related to COVID-19, such as:
• Voters wearing face masks while in line or voting (masks will be made available if needed)
• Wiping and sanitizing all surfaces and Ballot Marking Devices after each voter
• Social distancing
• Election Workers wearing protective gloves and masks
