Rosemead Launches New Business Registry Program

The City of Rosemead is pleased to announce the refinement of the Business License Program with the launch of a new, no cost Business Registry.

On July 1, 2022, the City ended its collection of Business License Fees for a substantial amount of business classifications. While the Business License Fee will no longer be required for certain business types, the City will continue to maintain a valid inventory of businesses operating within the City through a required, no cost Business Registry.

Based on the City’s current listing, certain business classifications like contractors, hair salons, and medical offices were automatically transferred to the Business Registry Program on July 1, 2022. Instead of renewing their business licenses, these business classifications will be required to submit a business registry verification form by January 31, 2023. A letter will be sent to businesses informing them of how to register with the City.

Business classifications that are part of the Business Registry program and have used the City’s online portal to renew their business licenses will be issued a refund. For a complete listing of business classifications that are part of the Business Registry program, please visit the City’s website at www.cityofrosemead.org.

The introduction of the Business Registry is just another example of how the City of Rosemead prides itself on being a “business friendly” place. Local businesses enjoy many advantages that the City has to offer, including a low tax environment and reduced barriers to start a business.
