Before any project begins, whether it is
the Tree Planting Project,
street resurfacing, or slurry sealing, you will receive several
notices if the project is taking place on your street or in the
immediate area. Since a project may affect where you may park your
vehicle or
when construction crews will be on your street, we will strive to let
you know at least 72 hours in advance. Check here and you will find out

Garvey Avenue Resurfacing
Tentative Project Timeline: In progress
As part of the City's Fiscal Year 2009-2010 Capital Improvement Program the City Council approved a program entitled Garvey Avenue Resurfacing which consists of asphalt concrete overlay sidewalk repairs traffic striping signage installation curb ramps construction median and parkway landscape improvements. The resurfacing project will take place on Garvey Avenue between New Avenue and Del Mar. Download a

Resurfacing ProjectsProject Timeline: CompletedAs
part of the City's overall beautification and maintenance efforts the
City resurfaced several residential streets. The work included the
construction of a 2.5-inch overlay rubberized pavement, construction of
new curb ramps, sidewalk traffic striping, and appurtenances.
The
main purpose of the project is to improve the pavement quality of the
street, enhance safety in the area, provide wheelchair access, and enhance
the overall aesthetic outlook of the area. The roadway resurfacing will
improve the ride quality and structural integrity of the pavement and
extend the service life of the street.
