Before any project begins, whether it is the Tree Planting Project, street resurfacing, or slurry sealing, you will receive several notices if the project is taking place on your street or in the immediate area. Since a project may affect where you may park your vehicle or when construction crews will be on your street, we will strive to let you know at least 72 hours in advance. Check here and you will find out about the projects even sooner.

Beautification Projects
Portions of the City and Redevelopment Agency budgets are devoted to projects that maintain and improve the City’s physical infrastructure, sidewalks, building, parks, right-of-way landscaping, streetlights, and traffic signals. These are projects, also known as Capital Improvement Programs (CIP), will be completed during the next five years (and for which there is available funding).
Ramona Boulevard North Beautification Project
Timeline: Completed
As part of the CIP, the City of Rosemead’s Beautification Plan has been completed.
The project included a complete landscape makeover featuring ground cover, trees, shrubs, and vines. The planting of greenery along the wall will eliminate the non-landscaped area where litter typically accumulates, in addition to providing a barrier to that wall that taggers have defaced for many years.
Tree Planting Project
The City of Rosemead's Tree Planting Program provides neighborhoods with trees to enhance the beauty of your home and the community. The trees will be planted and maintained by the City's Public Services Department. Trees will be planted in the City's right-of-way, which is located between the sidewalk and the street in front of many homes in Rosemead.
City Tree Planting Project
Project Timeline: Completed
A major tree planting project began in June and during the weeks of June 1, June 8th, and June 15th, Public Services crews contacted and notified affected residents about the project. Residents were also given the opportunity to pick the type of tree they would like planted in the City right-of-way in front of their home.
The streets listed below are part of the City Tree Planting Project. Click on the street name to view a map of the project.
Each household was able to pick one of three trees:
