Q: Who do I call for tree trimming on City property or in the public right-of-way?

A: Contact the Public Services Department at (626) 569-2262. For emergency services on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays, contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department - Temple Station at (626) 285-7171.

Q: Will the City be having 4th of July celebration?
A:

The City will host a 4th of July Parade, to be held on Friday, July 4, beginning at 10 a.m. The parade route starts at Valley and Bartlett Avenue and ends at Rosemead Park.

After the parade, there is a 4th of July Festival at Rosemead Park. There will be food booths, entertainment and carnival rides.

As always, this year’s 4th of July Celebration will feature a spectacular fireworks display.

Q: Can I host a wedding reception at the community center?

A: Weddings and/or wedding receptions are now permitted on City facilities.
Q: Do you accept credit cards?
A:
A: At this time, City Hall is the only location that accepts credit cards.
Q: How do I reserve a facility for a private function?
A:
A: A Facility Use Form must be filled out, a deposit posted, and an invoice will be mailed to you.
Q: How do I register for a class or program?
A:
The City currently has mail-in registration and walk-in registration. The most current Parks and Recreation brochure is mailed to all City residents and available on the City website.
Q: Can non-residents sign up for classes?
A:
Our classes are open to residents and non-residents.
Q: Do I need a reservation to have a birthday party at a City park?
A:
Our parks are on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are not required at this time.
Q: Can we have a jumper (moon bounce) at the park?
A:
Jumpers (moon bounces) and petting zoos are not permitted on any City park.
Q: Is alcohol permitted at City facilities?
A:
Alcohol is not permitted at any City facilities.
Q: Does Rosemead have a pool that is open year-round to the general public?
A:
Rosemead Pool is open year-round for swim lessons and private use.
Q: Where are the Senior Citizen centers?
A:
Rosemead Community Center, 3936 North Muscatel Avenue, Rosemead
Garvey Community Center, 9108 Garvey Avenue, Rosemead.
Q: Can we register on-line?
A:
At the present time, Rosemead does not accept online registration, but we are working to change this in the very near future.
Q: Do you have summer day camps?
A:
The City does not offer summer day camps.
Q: What programs do you offer for children ages 2 and 3?
A:
The City offers a Pre-school program for children 2-4 years of age.
Q: Where can I purchase a Senior Bus Pass?
A:
Senior Bus Passes are available at the Rosemead Community Center, 3936 North Muscatel Avenue and the Garvey Community Center, 9108 Garvey Avenue, from the 25th of each month through the 5th of the following month.
Q: Do the tennis courts have lights?
A:
Our tennis courts are located at Garvey Park, 7933 Emerson Place, and they are lit until 10:00 p.m.
Q: Are the pools heated or located indoors?
A:
The City has two pools, Rosemead Pool is located at 4343 Encinita Avenue and Garvey Pool is at 3232 Kelburn Avenue. Both are outdoor facilities, but Rosemead Pool is heated for comfortable year-round use.
