FILING DEADLINE
An official City job application and all other required documentation must be received by the personnel office by the 6:00 p.m. on the date stated on the job announcement. For applications mailed, postmarks will not be accepted to meet filing deadlines. Faxed applications will not be accepted. Resumes may be submitted with an employment application, however, a resume does not take the place of completing a City application form.

SELECTION PROCESS
Employment decisions in the City of Rosemead are made based on a candidates merit and ability to do the job as determined by competitive recruitment processes.
Advancement in the recruitment process may be limited to the most qualified candidates from among those applicants who meet the minimum requirements for a particular job. The selection process is designed to measure an applicant’s knowledge, skills and abilities, and may consist of any combination of the following: application screening, written test, performance test, technical expertise, and/or an oral board interview.
Successful candidates are placed on an eligibility list which will remain valid for twelve months. As openings occur, the top candidates on the list will be invited by the hiring department to a personal interview.
