Social Services

The City has a long history of working with local community organizations to provide programs and services to the residents of Rosemead.  While the City does not provide direct assistance in all areas, our Housing staff can provide advice and guide you towards help.  
   
The following is a summary of a few services currently available:

FAMILY COUNSELING
Family Counseling provides low-cost crisis intervention and crime prevention services to youth under the age of 18 and their families who meet certain income requirements.  For more information, please call (626) 308-1414 or visit Santa Anita Family Service.

PEOPLE FOR PEOPLE - Provides short-term services (food) directly to residents.  Their primary purpose is to assist the needy residents of the City.  The group is made up of volunteers that raise funds year-round to provide distribution of food to families.  For more information, please call (626) 285-0464

SENIOR NUTRITION PROGRAM - The Senior Nutrition Program provides high quality, cost efficient, nutritious meals at two City locations (Garvey Community Center and Rosemead Community Center) to seniors living in Rosemead.  For more information, please call (626) 569-2251 or (626) 569-2222.

THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA HOUSING RIGHTS CENTER - The Housing Rights Center provides Rosemead residents with FREE counseling services related to fair housing and landlord/tenant issues.  For more information, please call (800) 477-5977 or visit the Los Angeles Housing Rights Center.
