Section 8 Rental Assistance
Section 8 is a federally funded rental assistance program that subsidizes the cost of rental housing for eligible households. Low-income families and individuals rent privately owned housing, and the Housing Authority servicing that area pays the owner directly for a portion of the monthly rent. Rosemead residents interested in this program would need to contact the Housing Authority of the County of Los Angeles during normal business hours at (562) 347-4663 or (800) 731-4663. (Please note: There is often a wait to reach the registration desk) or on-line by clicking here.
