Down Payment Assistance Program

The City of Rosemead offers a Down Payment Assistance Program to first-time home buyers that qualify as low- and moderate-income household.  The program provides prospective home buyers a loan towards achieving the 20% down payment.  The maximum loan amount of this program is $70,000 and has no monthly payment for a 30-year term (silent second).  To qualify, the applicant must submit an application with income documentation that meets the income limits for Los Angeles County.  The property must be located within Rosemead City limits and meet basic Housing Quality Standards.  Maximum purchase price must be less than $522,500. Priority is given to applicants who live or work in the City of Rosemead.
